August 20, 2026 by Olivia Kreie As a member-based agriculture organization, Nebraska Farm Bureau focuses on advocacy, education and leadership development efforts to enrich the lives of farm and ranch families. Providing support and resources to members across the state, the bureau works hand-in-hand with members to protect current and future generations of agriculture. Having a longtime presence at Husker Harvest Days is a great way for Nebraska Farm Bureau to meet with members and nonmembers on issues they are experiencing on their farm or ranch, and learn how the organization can help. Whether it’s a local, county, state or federal issue, Farm Bureau can offer assistance on options and possible next steps. “We’re always interested in hearing from especially our members, but anybody on their topics of concern,” said Adam Peterson, senior director of membership for Nebraska Farm Bureau. Staff on the government relations and public policy team will be available to answer questions visitors have regarding issues related to agriculture. There will also be a news conference held during the show on a topic related to Nebraskans. In addition, Farm Bureau Financial Services will have representatives to answer questions from members about insurance or to get a quote, if interested. Freebies and giveaways Not only will Nebraska Farm Bureau be offering advice and education, but it will also have freebies and exclusive perks for visitors who visit its building. Current members receive a complimentary pair of leather gloves. New members who sign up will also get free gloves, plus a meal ticket to use while at the show. Snow cones are also available, free for all visitors passing through. The popular “Farmer & Rancher” T-shirts will be for sale again this year for $20. All the proceeds from the shirt sales help fund Agriculture in the Classroom projects through the Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation. Plus, attendees can enter a special drawing to win a Kodiak 450 ATV. Advocating for agriculture Providing exclusive tools, member benefits and support from industry professionals, Nebraska Farm Bureau members can know they’re not alone in the fight to continue to grow their own operations for generations to come. “As a grassroots organization, we are able to represent our members at the state and federal level,” Peterson said. “Visiting with farmers and ranchers about what’s affecting them and how Nebraska Farm Bureau can play a role in helping or assisting them in being productive at their own business is a highlight for us, especially during Husker Harvest Days.” Focusing on supporting today’s producers, Farm Bureau is dedicated to protecting the lifelong passion and traditions for the agriculture industry.
